Sorption methods for extraction, separation, purification, and concentration of rare metals and other substances are based on ion-exchange processes between the ionite (solid ion-exchange resin) and the solution containing the target components.
All ion-exchange sorption equipment manufactured by the company is divided into two categories:
- batch-mode systems with a fixed bed of sorbent;
- continuous-mode systems with complete sorbent circulation in the process loop.
For fixed-bed sorption, the company manufactures columns with diameters up to 1400 mm and heights up to 5000 mm.
For continuous sorption, the company also produces columns operating with a dense sorbent bed, including countercurrent ion-exchange columns. These columns, with diameters up to 1400 mm and heights up to 10,000 mm, are used during the sorbent regeneration stage.
For sorption processes, the company manufactures ideal mixing reactors with air agitation (Pachuca-type tanks) with a geometric volume of up to 14 m³.
For washing the sorbent from silt, acids, etc., the company produces moving-bed resin washing columns equipped with a movable upper drainage device, with diameters up to 1400 mm and heights up to 15,000 mm.
For ease of installation, column equipment is manufactured from individual shell sections up to 2,400 mm in height, with flange connections reinforced by metal clamp flanges. For increased reliability and fire safety, columns can be produced with a full steel (St.3) outer shell, while all internal components in contact with the process medium are made of polypropylene.
In addition to industrial sorption equipment for the hydrometallurgy of rare metals, the company also produces systems for water treatment and for generating ultrapure water via sorption methods, achieving electrical resistivity of (15–18)×10⁶ Ω.
Sorption equipment can be manufactured according to the client’s drawings, a technical design project, or an extended technical specification.
Based on the client’s technical requirements, the company selects, sizes, designs, and manufactures the sorption equipment to meet specific operational and process needs.
